About us

Mackay and Pearson is a contemporary jewellery workshop run by Fiona Mackay and David Pearson. We design and make understated jewellery by hand, focusing on simplicity, proportion and everyday wearability.

Every piece is made in our workshop, where ideas are developed slowly and materials are handled with care. From the first sketch to the final polish, our jewellery is shaped by hand and made in small batches, allowing us to stay closely connected to the making process.

Our Story

Fiona and David founded Mackay and Pearson from a shared belief that jewellery should feel natural to wear and quietly distinctive — pieces that become part of everyday life rather than saved for special occasions.

With backgrounds rooted in making and design, we are drawn to clean lines, subtle surface details and well-balanced forms. Our approach is thoughtful rather than trend-led, allowing each design to evolve through handling, testing and refinement at the bench.

Working from our workshop gives us the freedom to take time, to experiment, and to focus on quality over quantity. We work primarily with precious metals and favour timeless forms that can be worn often, layered easily, and lived with over many years.

Our Approach

As an independent jewellery business, we value thoughtful making, longevity and personal connection. Whether a piece is chosen as a gift or as something for yourself, our aim is always the same: to create jewellery that feels considered, well made, and effortless to wear
